LS2 Runs Rough
Hey guys I've got a tough one here!
I am setting up a LS2 with a Kenne Bell supercharger. The engine is controlled by a Delphi MEFI (marine) computer. The problem I am having is from 3400-4100 rpm the engine runs terrible, it acts like it is starving for fuel. The fuel pressure is fine and entire setup is brand new. I am using MSD software to tune but nothing helps! The engine idles great and if you hammer down she goes like hell. The problem seems to be only there when you want to drive like grandpa. The misfire??? seems to coincide with the blower coming alive, boost gauge is just a touch below zero when this happens. Once I drive through the roughness the boost comes up and she goes. According to the dashboard in the software, all electronics are functioning correctly. I have richened up the fuel tables and the boost compensation, but no improvement. System is setup for 7psi boost and should come alive at around 4000 rpm. I have checked the belt for slippage, coil packs are fine, all wiring checks out good, injectors are all working and fuel system is ample for this engine (1/2" input, 3/8" return @ 140 gph).
I have been in touch with a couple of tech lines, but nobody can answer this: Will the alternator create enough electrical interference at a certain rpm to cause this? After all I have done it is the only idea I have. I don't want to re-do my harness unless I have to and would like to know if I am headed in the right direction. Has anybody here worked through any problems like this?
