Default Injectors

Sorry , this is my first post. but, stay with as i make ZERO claim to know any thing much about camaro's. still learning.

the question is this. i was given some injectors a while back that have a red top. i was told they were 24# high impedance injectors that came out of a late model camaro. i dont know if they came out of a v6 or a v8. however what i'm also trying to find out is really what years came with high impedance injectors of a 30#plus.(if any. or what model cars did.)I'm working on a project. just needing any imput you can provide! thanks alot!

I really don't know if you want high impedance injectors for high performance use as the are harder totrigger and tend to give a poor idle, especially in large sizes. Strange as it seems, some of the best injectors for Chevy engines are the ones sold by Ford Motorports. They come in a varity of sizes fit prfectly and work well with the PCM. Personally, I would keep away from aftermarket brands. You may save a few bux up front, but wind up paying more in the end. Where do you intend to use these injectors? I belive the 24# injectors were used in 93 Z28s.

Well do you have 6 injectors or 8 injectors? He's right, you want to go witha low impendance high flow injector. Don't go too big or you'll run rich. There really is no point in larger injectors unless you have forced air induction or Nitrous. Injector swap alone won't give you any horsepower increase.

ok, dont flame me. but, like i stated.this is a project for a saturn that I'm working on. it's OBDII and the pcm runs hi-inpedance injectors i'm using a apex safc to conrol the fuel. however the 24# injectors are only allowing me to run 3.5 pounds of boost. so knowing that the injectors i'm currently have to work. i thought perhaps another model camaro might work or have what i'm looking for.

i get given alot of crap for it. but, you do the best with what you got. i had a 87 monte carlo ss befor it got stolen. which is how i ended up with a saturn.

I'd go ahead and put them in. They should work.

the 24# injectors are currently in the car. and they only allow me to run 3.5 pounds with a a/f ratio of 11.5-12.0. in order to run more boost at the proper fuel ratio i'm looking for lagrer injectors. somthing of a 30# nature or around that. i'm needing to find out since the camaro injectors work in the saturn are there any injectors that camaro's use that might help in this project.
