Default Search function inadequate

Im new to this forum, but a long time veteran of many others.

I have been attempting to search for things using their abbreviations, i.e. egr, maf, iat etc... and keep getting the message "Search terms too short".

While I could search for the actual words represented by the abbreviations, most if not all of the people who discuss these things refer to them only by abbreviation.

How is a person to search for these things if the search function will not allow three letter words? Seems a forum dedicated to cars would be chock full of small abbreviations, and to be able to search for them would obviously be useful.

Sorry, I should have been more specific... I'm not usually that surly around the new members...
The V-buliten set up requires a minimun amount of characters to be inserted in the field.. simply placing 'MAF' or 'EGR' isnt enough to get a valid responce...
