I'm into classic rock and hard rock and I run 2 15's in mine, I used to be into competition and now it's kind of overkill. I love to really hear those screaming guitar solos like your talking about. If you want a good overall sound upgrade the stock speakers in the door and and behind the seats, made a big difference, just those will shake my outside mirrors.. I've got Infinity's up front and Memphis's in the back, but the Infinity's blow the Memphis's away, they handle bass much better and don't distort as quickly as the Memphis's. What amp are you gonna run, do you care about losing space in the hatch. For just a little more bass you could do like 1 10, they make those that hide away where the spare tire goes.

Well I think I think I paid like $70 for thetwo of them, they were slightly used. Replacing the factory speakers with 2-wayaftermarket speakers is the easiest option and I think it sounds good, it will be an improvement over stock. For 4 new Infinity Reference speakers it will run you about $200, chaper if you buy used, most brandswill run around this price. A 2-way speaker mounts the tweeter to the woofer, so your kinda stuck with where the sound comes from.

A component system gives you more options but it's more work. They seperate the tweeter from the woofer and this usually means they can be built better, they also come with a crossover. The woofers will mount in the stock speakerlocation but you'll have to find a place to mount the tweeters and mount the crossover, whichwill include drillingsome holes in the door panelfor the crossoverand running some wires. But with this you can pick the placement where the tweeters sound best and get a fuller sound. A component system is going to be more expensive. So it's up to you, I might do a component system up front and 2-ways behind the seats, but it will still sound good with all 2-way speakers. Not sure what year your car is so I just used 1995 as the search year, should be the same as yours.

I'm no shop installer so I don't have a lot of experience with every brand out there, but the Infinitiy's have served me well. There are a ton of choices, go down to your local shop and test some out, see if something jumps out at you

If you are into the theatre sound or to make it sound like you are at a concert you should look into buying some tweeters. Mount them right above your head by your sun visor. I Think thats what your looking for!
