Default Satellite Radio

I'm thinkin about gettin satellite radio. I can get it by buying an entire new radio that has it already built into it, or i can keep the same radio i have in the car now and just buy the radio that is seperate and uses a built in fm transmitter. the fm transmitter i have for my ipod is useless so that's why i'm debating. which one do u guys think is a better way 2 go?

As long as you have the installation cost and the $12.95 per month fee. Otherwise its great.

The radio with it built in will sound better then the FM modulator, although it is much easier to take from car to car with the modulator. In the larger cities where there is radio stations on every frequency of the radio it is tough using the modulator because sometimes it gets over powered by the radio stations. If you never want to easily swap to a different car get the one with it built it, if you want to swap, you almost have to with the modulator.

yeah, i think i'm gonna go with the built in one. i live about 40 min outside of detroit and there is a lotta stations so i probably would get a lotta interference. the built in one is probably the better way 2 go.

Just kep in mind that if you have a loud exhaust, it really makes little difference in what audio system you are using, or if you even have a system. All you going to hear is the engine throb, and if you do have a system louder than the engine, your ears will probably bleed. LOL
