Default Radio help

okay so last christmas i had car toys install a new radio into my car. a month or so later it would randomly turn off for a second or even a few. then it turns back on and works but can turn off again. it doesn't do it every time i'm driving, sometimes it does it a lot and others not at all. sometimes ill hit a bump, or even just when I'm at a stop light. its been frustrating me but i checked all the connections and have messed with it multiple times. if it shuts off and i hit the side of my dash and it will turn back on. what is happening?? haha

I have the same problem, as do a few others on here.

As far as I'm aware, we haven't found a solution. When I get time, I'm going to check my relays.

Have you pulled the headunit out to inspect the wiring? Maybe something is loose and wires aren't always connected? If you aren't familiar with headunits though i would take it back to the shop.

pulled the head-unit and no wiring is loose that's why it trips me up. the previous aftermarket head unit worked just fine. so i don't know why this one is now all glitchy. i should have installed it myself...stupid "free" installation.

Check the fuse and connections on the fuse block. It could also be the ignition switch, is it loose or anything. Worst case is it's the amp in the unit getting to hot and turning it off.

I just bought a 00 camaro and noticed the same thing, but it only did it twice, then i swapped my headunit out for one i had (Sont Xplod, fyi) and it hasn't happened so i dont know. I also checked all the wires and they seemed good, but when i hook up my system ill double check it all. By the way, anyone hooked up the steering wheel controls to an aftermarket headunit?

Well its doing the random shut off again and i dont know why, i checked all the wires over. Also, my left rear speaker and far left rear speaker are playing static like its grounding somewhere, but i checked the wires and i dont think i see anything wrong. Any ideas?
