again, i didnt know grammar and punctuation were so important on this site. as for thump, as i stated before, i dont know technical terms like SPL, so i apologize for my ignorance. for a head unit, i'm looking for something really clean looking, nothing too fancy, i dont have an ipod so that would be pointless. price isnt an option, the car isnt going anywhere for a while. but i dont want a competition stereo, just something clear and crisp with a nice bass. hopefully that cleared some things up.

hey man, i just wanted to get your honest opinion, cause you seem to know as much about stereos as i do about diesels haha. i have a mtx thunder 400w amp (bridgeable to 1 ohm? i think) and two jl 10w0 subs.
i'm looking for a new head unit, and possibly an amp, i dont want to turf the subs cuz i got a wicked deal on them. i dont want tons of bass, just enough to get a decent thump, any suggestions? also what would you reccomend for components? thanks
Turf= Damage
Cuz= Relative/Slang for "Cousin"/ Because
Wicked= Good (maybe)
Thump= SPL or "Poundy McPounder-age"

Translation provided courtesy of Seight311
(Edit: why is Courtesy edited to 4 ****'s in this forum?)
(Edit 2, that word I typed is Court-esy, minus the - of course)

Think this is funny? Wait til you get a response from Hisss
who in the lords name freaking appointed you king.....the kid obviously dosent know and that would be why hes asking and dispite your waiting for hiss to tear him a new one he was honest and attempted to be helpful thats what seperates mustang from rustang

Neither a headunit, nor an amp are going to provide you with clear and crisp bass.

What exactly are you looking for here?

Please don't tell me, "no price range." I might quote you a h.u. for two grand and have to listen to you bicker about the high price.

well like i said, a nice clean looking h.u thats not ridiculously priced, $500 or so. and i'm more looking for an amp that will work well with the subs i have, and dont worry, the box is getting custom made for the jl's. i want the highs and mids of the music to be crisp and clear, i'm not sure if a h.u will help or if its mainly the components. i'm not trying to be difficult, i'm just pretty ignorant when it comes to the fine details of audio. and i appreciate the help

Actually.

it's grammatically correct to use; Neither/nor and Either/or.

$500.00 for the headunit alone, or for all?
