new subwoofer
i want a new set of subwoofers. and i like the power range i had from my old sub. i want subs with 800w max no less than 400 rms. DVC. but it seems my taste in brand is a little off. so maybe you all could assist me with this as well. dont really have a price range right now as i wont be buying them right now. just researching so to speak.
i also found a box for my car. i want 10 inch subs and this box should fit right in the back.http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...Firebird.html#

RE: new subwoofer
i know the power range i want lol. i know i like kickers and mtx and rockford all sound great. but i dont want anything more than 800w because i have an 800w sub now, anything more powerful than that is too much for me, thats not what i want. the bass flowed evenly with the rest of my music without overpowering it and everyone elses music on the road. i simply despise people that drive through my neigborhood and blast their music so loud, i can identify the song. its annoying. of course im sure you can take measures to keep all of your sound in the car but i also value my hearing, so im keeping it what i think is simple and capping my power lol. if i can get something with less power that will do the same job as my sub i have now. then thats awesome. so if i can be pointed in the right direction of a good brand then thats cool. if im already in the neighborhood. then let me know as well.

RE: new subwoofer
So 2-10" high in sound quality, and the volume will come with that.
Dont know if this is in your price range, if not step down to their K-Series. You can choose, 2 or 4 ohm DVC. And Cone color black or silver. These will sound great and with that the volume follows, these will be plenty loud enough for you. Do you already have an amplifier, or are you on the market for one of those as well?

RE: new subwoofer
im not sure if i need another amp. i have the 800 w amp. its 2 channel i was gonna either run the subs of of 1 2 channel amp and get a 4 channel for my speakers. or get another amp and run 1 sub and 2 speakers on each amp. i have my 800w amp and i have this other 300w amp. which would be better.
these are the specs for the amp i have.
[*] 2x200W RMS at 4 OHMS 2x400W Max at 4 OHMS[*] 1x800W Max at 4 OHMS Bridged 2x350W RMS at 2 OHMS[*] Electronic Crossover Network[*] Bass Boost Circuit[*] Bridgeable at 4 Ohms[*] 2 Ohm Stereo Stable[*] Gold RCA Inputs[*] Line Outs for Left and Right Channel[*] Low Pass Filter Controls[*] High Pass Filter Controls[*] Power and Protection LED Indicators[*] Soft Turn-on/Turn-off[*] THD: <0.04%. S/N Ratio: >90dB[*] Channel Separation: >65dB[*] Freq. Response: 10Hz~35KHz[*] Subwoofer Remote Level Control[*] Dimensions: 9.82'(W) x 2.34'(H) x 9.92'(L
the 300w amp specs arent worth mentioning.
