Nope, they are 1 tier above the Comp subs which are their bargain subs.
Solo X > L7 > CVX > L5 > CVR > Comp

I don't think your describing my subs at all. Mine have none of those problems, and I listen to them at near max volume too.

Well for one thing if you are blowing 10" subs that quickly you need a better amp or you have some crappy wiring.

2nd if lt1f1 likes them and they hit like he says they do then more power to him. I have always thought kickers were great subs especially the square ones they just look awesome lol.

l5 and l7 are not bad and i even told him to each his own, its not crappy wiring its just that i constantly have my bass up really high when i drive and i need subs that can handle it, i used a fosgate 500.2 and its blew one of the cvrs because they just couldnt handle it, the gain was set at about $75 and it was really bumping them to the max, i tured up to 20 out of 60 for about $60 and the sub just couldnt handle it, i installed some type rs and ever since have loved type rs they were 10s 350rms but they bumped really hard, even p1s sound better the cvrs

Ok yea like i want new subs and Alpine (type rs, type xs) have always been a good company for subs. But i feel like everyone goes with type rs or kicker so i would probably go with MTX or MA audio. Hell i might even comform and do Alpine after all i have always liked what i have heard from people with those subs.

alpine and pioneer are my favorite brand for subs and decks, i do prefer pioneer but alpine makes a hell of a sub and their decks are great two but i like the simplicity of alpine
