when i first got a system i went with the insignia package, came with 2 12' subs and a 360 watt amp. its a great deal at $150 for the package and they sound very good. now i have the amps that came with the packages since i got 2, powering 2 mtx 15's the only amps that could power the 15's. I got a sony 1000 watt amp but it couldent power the 2 15's.

I'm pretty sure your amp won't push 1000W RMS . RMS wattage is a constant amount of watts the amp can send, whats the amp make and model, I'll dig some stuff up for you...I personally like Kicker's...I caught my Comp CVRs on sale for $150-pair =). But anyway, post some info about the amp and I'll point you in the direction I would go for some subs.

How can you say that's perfect for his amp without knowing the make and model of his amp?

How many ohms his amp is stable at?

Or how much "true" wattage his amplifier puts out.

Stop posting this rediculous site everywhere.

You have no idea what he even has. If you don't work at Best Buy, you should.

What kind of amp is this man, we'll do our best to help you out. And give you some suggestions based on what you already have and not what I closed my eyes and threw a dart at.

I should start visiting my local thrift store for some sweet deals on drivers with ripped cones or blown voice coils.

I just pulled out some stock Saturn speakers from the GF car. I accidently looked at them with a demon like stare and the cones crumbled. Want those?
