I'm buying a camaro and included in it is "two 12-inch 1200 watt Infinity Kappa subwoofers with a MTX Thunder6500D amp and a 300 watt Pioneer speaker amp"... is this setup any good? how much would that cost? Thanks.

 

It's a decent setup, the Kappas cost I'm thinking over $150 apiece at least the newest ones do, nothing wrong with MTX Amplifier, I've never used one personally, but a few I've heard haven't sounded bad. As far as the Pioneer Amp (I'm not a big fan of Pioneer amps, thats just a personal prefrence though)what kind of components are in the doors/back seat, no good to amplify the stock speakers afterall. Sounds like a decent setup though.

I wouldn't buyequipment from brandslike that, but if it comes with the car, why not...

I wouldn't let him jack up the price because of the system, you can do alot with say $500 as far as subwoofers and an amp goes. If he wants to add to the price by leaving the system in there, tell him to take it out and invest your money in some better equipment.

 

Wait does it come with front speakers or do you just get the amp for them?
