Default Hey CRan!!!

So here's the update on my (unfinished) system... I already had my Pioneer DEH-P6900UB and some JL Audio VR coaxials in the doors. Today I ordered some more VRs for the backseats and a JL 4300 amp to run all of my speakers... Car audio guys, whattya think so far?

Hey man sorry I haven't made it around the other forums too much.

Sounds like a decent set up man. I'm assuming you are running the JL's up front off the deck power, right?

This is the thing, you will be ever so glad that you got an amp to power all four speakers. Putting recommended power (which head units can never do 99 percent of the time unless the speakers have extreme low power handling) makes a huge difference. You'll never go back and it will make a difference.

Let us know how it goes when you install it all

Those are also decent drivers. First though, how much are you paying for them and what price range do you have for subs. Are they going in a sealed enclosure (assuming so) and how much power do you/will you have to power them?

Just asking as I may be able to get more out of your money.

They are going into a sealed enclosure with ... I wanna say a JL 500/1 amp. The subs/box/amp/installation is around a grand...

personally, i would never buy JL subs. i love some of their amps though. IMO, kicker is one of best for subs.. so is Diamond, Memphis and Alpine (for mainstream) then theres FI, TC-Sounds, and a couple others.

I have heard good things about Memphis, and Alpine of course, but never heard of Diamond before... I haven't bought my subs yet, but I am planning on a set of 12s so I'm open to suggestions [8D]

FYI, TCsounds has been no longer for a while now. Kicker has been known to make subs that get decently loud, but not for their SQ at all.

There are a ton of brands and models out there that do a lot of different things in a good way. I'll see what I can come up with.
