No, I totally understand.

But to get anything much more satisfactory than stock, he is going to have to buy a HU for at least 200, then 4 speakers all around and an amp to power them. Let him know if he decides to power the speakers off HU power not to expect much at all.

Or he could just create a great front stage like I did and ditch the rear speakers ( I hate rear fill, sounds way unnatural to me). He can do this by getting a component set up front and a good amp to power them. Either way, it is going to be around the same cost.

Just let him know these are his options and if he doesn't like it... well, oh well. Haha.

Let us know where he wants to go from here.
he can sound stage it, and onlt get 2 real good speakers for the front. and 2 speakers, more so for some base, in the rear. do a real nice comp set for front atleast.
That's what I already told him to do. Thanks.

These were the subs that were in the enclosure:

But I got tired of the two 12's. So I wen't with a stealth single 10 (TC Sounds OEM 10... a fuccin beast and is taking 1400 watts rms daily! Haha.)

Still have to put the cover back on and bolt it down.

ive always used pioneer head units and I love them. i never liked the looks of alpine.... spend about 200 bucks on a head unit or ull be sorry when u blow speakers and what not. most speakers blow because of distortion inherent in a bad head unit

Haha yeah it is decent. The only thing about the new pioneers is that the RCA grounds suck and it is extremely easy to blow the internal fuses for them thus producing alt. whine. So Far so good for me though.

I really like having my iPod adapter in the glove box, though also. I just plug it in and shut thelid and I have a year's worth of music and no more cds!

Yeah it is nice, too bad I don't ever use it. I placed mine in the little cubby hole at the bottom of the dash next to the cigarette lighter.
