Default help with installation

Hey I am installing an alpine stereo in my 78 camaro and need help. there is a clarion stereo in it right now but whoever installed it never did it properly. They just slid the stereo in the hole and bent some tabs to hold it in place. There isnt a mounting kit in the car and I can only find them for 88 camaros and up. anyone know where I can get a mounting kit or another way to mount and frame off my new stereo?

there is no installation kit for these cars. all u do is take the rectangle frame into the hole and open the tabs. then just slide in the new head-unit. theres also a wiring harness u can get for old gm vehicles. but i dont recommend getting it bc these cars are pretty easy wiring anyway.

Thanks I got it mounted. The hole was too big to just slide the cage in and bend the tabs. I took a peice of black plexiglass, cut a hole in the middle and slide the cage through it. Then I mounted to the outside of the hole covering up any gaps. I wired the new sterio then just slid it in.
