Bringing my car out of storage, the battery was dead. When connecting the jumper cables a "friend reversed the cables. It was connected for about 15-20 seconds. I never tried to start it. the battery & alternator went bad. After replacing both, a cooling fan code came up. We found that the fusible ling sending constant power to the fan was dead. Replaced the part, with new fuse panel. Cooling fan comes on & appeared to be cycling properly We still have a hard code for the fan and unable to clear it. Is it possible that the computer is seeing the wrong resistance from the fan motor. I was thinking that if I drive it and watch the temperature, it might clear the code.
