Default Tire suggestions for stock ZR1's

Hey all. Looks like tomorrow evening, I will be the proud owner of a mint condition, arctic white SS. With only 34k miles, it's obviously not been driven regularly and the tires are beginning to experience some cracking/dry rot. I am not sure just how long they will be safely drivable. The car has the stock ZR1 wheels which I believe are 17x9's. The seller says 285's...?

Anyway, what are the leading tires these days that will fit these? Also, are there any currently available that are great bang for the buck without being the highest priced?

Thanks

factory size is 275/40-17, I'm going to put Goodyear All Season Eagles on mine when I get them cleaned up, but the GS/D3's are good tires also. The All Season tires will wear much longer.

Nitto NT555s are a good summer tire that handle great, I have Hankook v12 evos on my vette wheels and they're great also.

I have a 2000 Z28 and put a set of Bridgestone Potenzas they are very nice good ride fantastic grip. I did go a little bigger than stock with 18x10.5 with 295-35 on rear 17x9.5 with 275-40s on front. I would go with 265-40s on front if I did it again the 275s dart a bit on uneven road surface. I was going to go with BFG KDWs but Discount jumped the price so I went to Firestone and got these for less than $1000. Not cheap but a great tire.
