If you can find them, Pacemark Snowtrakker's are a good snow tire. Used them for two winters before I got the Jeep for winter and they did an amazing job. Never left me stranded. They're inexpensive but I know only of a few places that still carry them.

Really well and I only had them on the rear. I'm sure if I had them on the front as well, I could have taken turns faster. If you can, find a big open parking lot, practice losing control of the car and correcting it. Tires will help, but it's better to know how to handle the car in case you lose control. If you find yourself sliding, put it in neutral to get yourself to stop faster.

Been there done that. I've been practicing every chance I've gotten but it gets annoying when almost every corner on every snow packed road I turn on that my back end swings out and passes the front end.

Snow tires will defiantly help then. They'll keep the rear in check, but if you can, go for winters on all four. Most shops won't replace them unless you do all four or unless you take the wheels off the car first and take them as a "walk in".

I was planning on having all 4 be the snow tires so I don't end up totaling my camaro.

The best set of snow tires for a Camaro are the kind that are attached to a really cheap car.

Seriously. A good set of winter tires will set you back $600-800, if you can find a set in the right size. A decent beater car that'll last a winter will cost about the same, and the chance of crashing your Camaro drops to 0.

I bought by winters for $200, installed and balanced. They're not a top brand, but not once have they let me down nor was I scared to drive in adverse conditions. 225/60/r16 is what I bought. Bonus is they will fit on my Jeep too.

But I do agree, if you can swing a second vehicle, it is nice. I bought one so I can tear the Camaro apart and not have to have it back together the next day.
