Default Need bigger brakes...


Just got her running... temporary carb setup, just until I get a quadrajet.

Dirty I know... was under the elements for so long...

I need bigger brakes...

1998 and up cars have larger brakes on them. You can buy the front spindles, caliper and brackets at any "you pull it" lot and just in the new. 1998 rotors and brake pads. The back is less work then the front.
Just don't make the mistake most people do. Don't put on racing pads, They can handle heat better then street pads but they need a warm up period. You see a semi rim and tire coming at on the highway and its not going to wait for you to get your brakes warm.

Or you can step it up another notch and convert to C5 or C6 Corvette brakes,may need different wheels depending on what you have.

Those are harder to come by I think. Thanks!

If IIRC, C5/C6 brakes will mount to the LS spindle.

That would be the simplest IF I get my hands on 'em.
