It's been a while
Seems like all I do is eat sleep work but I'm on the hunt for a new to me 4th gen Camaro.
I just sold my '93 Z28 after about 8 years and looking at LS1 SS cars.
Seems they are a bit hard to come by with the specifics I want but I'm not in a hurry.
At least I try not to be, miss the '93 already lol
I want a black SS with a 6 speed and either T-tops or hard top and in nice shape with less than 120K on the clock.
I've found some great deals on red cars, might cave at some point and go red but I really want black. There's a nice black rag top up North of Seattle asking $14,900 with 63K on it, real nice but not sure I want a ragtop. If I can ever get a couple days off in a row I might go look at a bone stock 2000 SS in Southern Oregon with only 42K miles ,he just lowered his price to $9900.
If it was black I'd call in sick and go buy it.

If you are not sure you want a rag top don't get one. Rag tops are like swimming pool everyone thinks they are great to own until you own one. You have truly love a rag top to own one long term. I have owned 3 so far and I still love them but when you start hitting the turns hard you start think what "if" I slip into a ditch and she tips. Not to mention leaking and lack of security and that one time I got caught in a huge hail storm or the ice that few off a semi truck and split my rag to in half on the way to work. LOL.
Keep looking the next few months are the best time to buy a Camaro. You will see a lot more for sale in spring the price jump is noticeable.

A lot of those would be none issues, this will not be a daily driver and will stay in the garage in all but perfect weather and if I bought a ragtop it would get a rollbar but...
Yeah we already have a ragtop in the garage anyway, the wife's '05 Mustang. I've been looking at Vettes too, lots more of them available and some pretty good deals to be had but unless I find a deal I can't pass on I'm looking for a Camaro SS '01 or '02.
This is the car I want right here.

prices out hear are much cheaper on the east coast seen a 2000 ss red 92.000 $4200.00 ,another was 5k with 50.000 an minor accicdent 2001 ebay those prices are what 5th gen goes for on the low end ,an many 60k black z28 cars 5 to 6k ,sounds like the best deal for you is the last one with 42k if you could get them down a bit i would with anyplace other then southern CAL not own any rag top they just develope issues ,then they sell for alot less on east coast, people dont relize while they pay more new for the rag top off the floor its worth less used to most ,a 99 base z28 had a sticker price of $22.500 while the rag top v6 loaded was $23.000 new but still a no brainer on wich one i would have bought the z28. black an red were the most production colors ,black being like half off all the colors

what about the 2000 ss for $8900.00 with 42k thats the better deal paint it an have much lower miles car ,you can also think about they have companys that you pay them like $500.00 to check a car out for you ,then have one shipped from the east coast or closer with lower miles ,i know a guy buys cars like it all the time for the better price ,an there rep is on the line ,so they have to tell you the truth ,or take one day flight an save a 2001 with 115k ,sells for like 4k half of that price i seen them for less though ,blue book is like $5200.00 in very good condition hear ,man that hurts i paid 5500,00 for my 95 z28 with 69k an seen the prices lower then that its a thought any how good luck,i know supply an demand in some places too

its tough i guess people make better money out there ,though alot of the cars i see out of neweyork CONN up hear i guess theres just alot more 4th gens, i dont see many where i live either ,but i would take a day travel even 2 to find a sweet ride ,just have a driver with me or trailer ,i was going out to ohio 600 miles one way one time ,i would go up to 1000 on a drive ,then i would think about flying out to look at the right car ,i want a 2002 le1 ss when the time is right the red one with grey stripe kit ,though one can buy those kits online an put it on a any color ss
