Default C6 Z06 wheels - 95 Z28 'vert (picture heavy!)

Christmas came early for me this year!

Falken FK452's on "OEM" (replica) Z06 wheels.

These are 17" on all 4 corners, 8.5" on front, 9.5" on back.
245/40/17 - F
275/40/17 - R

After:

I should note that these replicas are NOT light...

I went from 45.2lbs each on the front:

to 48.00 on the front and

a whopping 53.45 lbs on the rears.

These are 1 inch bigger in diameter, but that is still a hefty weight gain.

I'm thinking lowering springs are in order over the winter too...

What do you guys think? I like the black on black, but I'd like to hear other opinions too...

Nice. I put those same Falken's on my Vette and love how well they handle.

Weird. The guy had them advertised as C5's....but everything I saw online showed them as C6's...but I've been wrong before...at least once.

I assume they are these, just in black:

I like it! I've always been a fan of black on black though, so I'm biased.

I'd suggest some slotted rotors from BP, and maybe spray paint your calipers since they show easier now.

Yep, it's going in for paint over the winter, and when it's back I am doing brakes all the way around (slotted and drilled) and I'll be painting the calipers at the same time. Black I think. Might as well stay with the theme...

I got at the rust spot you can see there with the needle scaler tonight and on the other side as well. I will be doing a bit of welding before I send it to be prepped for paint I guess. The right side isn't too bad, but the left side now has about a 2"x 4" hole in the inner fender wall, right where the gas tank sits...gonna be tough to weld in there without my wife having to submit several insurance claims...

Cleaned up the calipers and rotors, some before and after shots:

I also spend several hours underneath this thing covering every piece of rust that I could find with the Wurth Rust Conveter, which is awesome by the way...

It's looking pretty good now. Just need to get it in the body shop for paint...

Wheels look nice, I see you have the staggerd wheel but will the 275 wheel fit in the front without any issues?
