Default 97 to 98 conversion

I'm going to try to do a 1997 to 1998 front end conversion on my camaro when it gets out the transmission shop. I know I need to get the passenger side and driver side fenders, fender brackets, 98 bumper and brackets, headlight mounts, but what I'm confused on is the front bumper absorber. Do I need to use the 98 or can I keep the 97?

A lot of people will agree with me on this but why don't you buy a 98 and keep the 97 as is.

Or better yet, why would you wanna but the catfish looking front end of the '98+ on a good looking '97? I mean it's your car and all, but doing that will hurt to resale value of it to most people if you ever decide to sell it.

Well I actually like the catfish look. But when I was in the market for one they were all beat to hell. super high mileage and the interior was shot, so I went with a 97 that had decent miles and was pretty decent on the wear and tear.

You will need to change the bumper absorber as well. Plenty of guys on here selling used parts. Also check CL and Ebay. Good luck!

Good luck with the project! And please don't get confused between a Camaro and an Integra like that guy...
