740il BMW rims on my 96 camaro
Hey guys! Well I have some 16x8 (I think) BMW bbs rims. I put one on the front space and it fits but my center (the round thing that's goes in the middle of the Rim haha) is slightly smaller then the hole for the rim. But once I tighten it down it doesn't budge. Think it's ok?
If your talking about the hub-centric part of the wheel not fitting the BMW wheels, I would be very leery about using them. I have heard both sides of the argument, that the lugnuts will keep the wheel centered and that the lugnuts will not keep the wheel centered (that's what that round thing is that goes in the center of the rim). Personally I would not take the chance, but that is just me.
Normally you would match the aftermarket rims to the vehicle you are driving so if your OEM wheels were hub centric, your aftermarket rims would also be hub centric and the correct size. Your wanting to run a wheel designed for a BMW, not a Camaro. Like I said, you would probably be OK, but if you by chance run into vibration issues they are going to tell you it's the wheel, not a balancing issue, because it's not centering correctly since it is the wrong size. There are adapters out there, just google it. I have also read on other forums about guys running BMW wheels on 4th gen Camaro's with zero issues.
