Can I get 275's on my salad shooter rims? I want some more meat back there!

 

Stock rims are 8 inches wide and usually come fitted with 235 or 245 tires which are already pretty fat. 275 tires are for wider 9-10 inch wheels so I wouldn't go that far if you want your tires to last.

My ZR1's are 9.5" wide and fit perfectly on 275/40/17 tires.

 

Ok thanks. Ill just get me some c6 zo6 wheels like i want to do anyway.

 

I think 255 is the widest you can go on stock rims. Which look pretty bad***.

 

you can, but I wouldn't when I bought my old mustang it had 275's on 8 inch wide tires but it looked dumb

 

I am going with the 275's on 10" rims when I get that far on my project. I might have to rearrange things a little. Maybe a 5.5" back set.

 

I got 255's on my 8" rims. Any larger would just look silly....Kinda like muffin top tires...lol
