I looked up the VIN on my V6 camaro convertible, one place i used to decode it said it was a z28 or hardtop for one number, but mine is neither.... right?

it has the four wheel disc brakes, ground effects, 3-piece spoiler, dual exhaust.... i think it may be a Y87 car?? help me lol

 

The engine code is the 8th digit or the K which means the 3800 Series II engine. If the door has ever been replaced there is a chance that it still holds the RPO sticker for its first body. Check the VINs on both the door and the windshield for confirmation. Also the sticker on the door if it matches your windshield VIN will tell you all the options you have. Ground effects, spoiler addon and dual exhaust on a V6 sound like a RS car.

i dunno much about these 4th gens, but ill go check my door codes tomorrow when i get the chance.
i did find it weird that its made by them canadians! lol. did they export these camaros?

Does it have leather seats and power everything? If so since it's a 3800 Series w/ the ground effects and four disk breaks is more likely an RS even though it's not badged.
