Is it true if you put corvette Z06 rims on your camaro it will give hp ? Because my friend says it does becuz the are so light weight

 

1. Wheels cannot create HP, they may free up some.

2. Depends on the wheel, in general, a 18" w/ tire is going to weigh more than a 16" w/ tire. When I put 18" on my maro, I got lot better traction. If I was going to go to the strip, I would put some fat 15's on b/c less diameter, so less work to turn the wheel 1 revolution. Bottom line, get the Z06 for looks but dont expect any 'HP gains', traction gains for sure. However, if your going to the strip, some wide-15's would be the best performance bet.
