K well i finally got my baby back together and my dad and I took it for a spin 1 to see if it was running normal and 2 for me to feel how it handles in the snowy roads...well i have a 2nd gear start button and i pushed it to see how well it worked then i got on some dryer roads so i turned it off....and its stuck in starting in 2nd....anyone have any ideas as to whats wrong i really hope it is just a problem with my 2nd gear start button i really hope its not a tranny problem

 

its a 1996 RS 3.8L

 

ok WTF??? i just took it out for another spin and its fine? i guess it needed to sit for a while? i wonder if there is a short or something in the 2nd gear start wiring?? i think im just not gonna use that feature

 

The PCM could be going bad. Mine did that exact same thing.

 

did you have to replace ur PCM? how much do they cost about?
