Wouldn't it be harder/easier to turn depending on what point in the stroke is at? I just dropped the battery off at auto zone so there testing it.

Yes but you still should be able to rotate it one complete revolution even with compression building in the cylinders.

I got the battery back to find out it's good but a little dead. I hooked it up, the car turned over a little. I did that maybe 3 times then it started for like 2 seconds then died with a loud sqeak type noise, I tried again it started for1 second and made the same noise, now it won't start again. I don't think that's a good sign.

just for piece of mind take the alternator/power steering/ac belt off and try to turn it over. sure sounds like a bearing siezing up though.

^^^^^ agree with craby! Your done! That squaking noise is your engine grinding itself to death.

More than likely! You have a couple options. Replace with a donor, a crate engine or rebuild but if you spun a bearing and messed up the crank, you are looking at a complete rebuild with alot of machine shop work.

If you still are not sure, get someone local to come over and give you another opinion.

Could a 3800 engine from a fwd car like a buick or grand prix fit in a camaro? How much harder would it be to install than a engine pulled from another camaro?
