hey guys my buddy has a 94 3.4 maro' and his driverside window doesn't go up anymore so we replaced the switch, but it is still doing the same thing... should we replace the motor next ??? or is it possibly a wiring problem? ... oh ya, and are the driver / passenger window motors interchangeable ?

Sounds like the motor is dead.

 

All GMs have this problem. It's the whole motor and track assembly.

 

Yep, like shnormo said, replace motor and track or you will have that problem again.

 

so i should replace not only the motor but also the track ??? is there any signs to tell if the track is fine or not ?

 

Yeah my window motor on my driver side has the same problem..Sometimes it will be fine rolling it up but other times it will just stop working...Im just thinking its dying...
