Custom Fabricated CAI
I don't know if that will work either, but I can tell you I was a little bored over the weekend so I decided to fabricate a cold air intake for my 3.8l...
It came out pretty cool and I spend about $25.00...It's a major improvement...I stayed away from the chrome intake for all the reasons discussed here...I went with very thick rubber and a bit or PVC piping...the insides are all smooth and the air stays cold all the ways though.
It took a few hours to cut and re-cut in order to get the right angle that I needed...I had to extent the sensor wires by about 5 inches, but that was no big deal...
The end results are very impressive and it looks very clean. I have some finishing work to do to it and then I will post some photos...
The car is pulling much harder and it seems with way less effort.

I would say maybe with a little bit of work. The TB on the 3.4 sits a little more back then it does on the 3.8 but with a little work and playing around you might be able to make it fit.
