Default White Smoke Comeing From Engine

So I know i have a little trans leak, please tell me if this is causing it. But when i park my 94 v6 3.4 and shut the car off it will smoke from the engine for a good 2 minutes. Not alot. But noticeable, and very noticable at drive throughs xD. It seems to be comeing from behinde the engine and riseing. Any ideas on what i can look at?

valve covers? chevy seems to have the issue of nto sealing them too well. i would try the engine oil stop leak from advance before changing the gaskets, its like 7 dollars and change.

intake or valve cover gaskets. fix the problem and be done with it. is there oil leaking under the car that u can see. if so what color is it? red=trany fluid, brownish green=motor oil.

Probably right and I agree just fix it and get it over with.
That said I had a '77 Nova with a 305 that was doing that and leaking bad enough to leave a spot on the ground.
I did the valve cover gaskets, the intake looked fine but it still leaked all over the back of the motor and dripped to the ground.
I went to the car wash and cleaned it up with the high pressure wand then got my flashlight out and looked real well with it running and found where it was coming from.
To my surprise it was the sending unit for the oil pressure idiot light mounted behind the dizzy,it had become old and the crimped metal base on the cover was leaking oil like crazy right out of the sending unit, new sending unit and no more leaking.

And I would change the gaskets before ever putting stop leak in my oil. Granted they're a little more work to get to on the 3.4.

Oil smoke is kind of a light bluish and gray color, while auto tranny fluid smoke is white. It's possible it is the tranny fluid dripping down onto your y-pipe, and burning off.
