I LOVE the way my T-Tops are leaking. =/. Any1 have a solution for this that will work for sure? I need to take care of this asap. Its only on the driver's side that I know of for now. Rain all over the driver's seat and some on the driver's side back seat/floorboard.

For me.... no Opti-Spark. Thank god!! And, it's been a stone-cold reliable engine that has been a pleasure on longer cruises. Not to mention how easy the oil changes are.

It does have rear disks! I won't be around the car for a couple days, but i'll report back when I get the codes, thanks!!

Also look into some better sway bars, either from an SS, or get Strano's 35/22 mm hollow sways (in my case, my SS sways are going to go on my RS, and Strano Sways on my SS). http://stranoparts.com

Koni SAs (Single Adjustables) are even better (and pricey), but I reserved those for my SS...

If you want lowering springs then do with Stranos (better than Eibach), but then you need Koni SA shocks NOT Bilsteins.
Thank you very much! I'll definitely check in to the product you've mentioned, i'm not just saying this, but this is the most helpful forum i've been on so far!

My little 3.8 can take most stock early 90's Mustang GTs and I get high 20s low 30s on long freeway trips, mid/low 20s in town.

91 Mustang GT 5.0 165 HP
99 Camaro 3.8L 200 HP

You do the math. it would actually be a pretty good race in the 1/4 mile since he does have more torque but I think with a good driver the Camaro would take him in the end of the race.

Love my 3.8L I am not going to swap the 3.8L out of the car ever. Sarah will stay the way she is.

This is the kind of post I wanted to hear! These are the ones that get me excited to get this thing on the road and enjoy it, v6 or not! And also, I think you may be a tad bit off on the Mustang hp numbers, I always thought the 87-93 foxbody cars had 215hp? I can't remember, it's been a while since I checked into it, either way, thank you for the post!

LOL!! I guess it's a good thing i'm only 20 years old, I might just look normal driving this thing. haha Don't feel bad about being older and driving a cool car, My dad had a GT500 and drove that thing everywhere and loved it!

I like getting good fuel economy (avg 25, about 30 on trips, on regular gas) while not feeling like I'm driving a girl's car or a ricer. Despite the bad rep for a V6 Camaro, the 3.8 is pretty stout. The t-tops are nice. I have an air intake, headers, partial exhaust, Y87, and a reprogram and the car has a lot of power. The thing I don't like is the engine "feel" - mine is really coarse feeling at higher RPM - which is probably a result of high miles (154k) and a poor maintenance record by the previous 7 owners.

The 3.8 has a reputation for being extremely durable, just make sure you change your intake plenum gaskets as they tend to leak.

It's also nice having about 2 feet of space in front of the motor, makes water pumps, accessory work, oil changes, and belt changes really easy. I personally love the look of the four tiny sealed beams for the headlights.

I love the 3.8's! I had mid 13 second GTP a couple years back, I miss it bad! I'll probably do mods similar to what you have, I just want to keep this thing kinda quiet. I know they can get pretty dang loud with exhaust work. My car has 156k on it, but for 600 bucks for a running 97 with leather and a 5 speed I couldn't pass it up. I'm about 95% sure it's stock, but it's got a pretty deep exhaust note to it, not very loud, but doesn't sound stock to me. How do these tranny hold up to a good clutch and quick shifts? I don't plan on powershifting, or flat footing it whatever you want to call it, but I love jamming gears and don't want the thing to let go on me. The transmission is a t5 right? If so I have 2 or 3 of them in my garage from previous mustangs, hopefully a bellhousing change and I can swap them out. Sorry for all the random questions, and I greatly appreciate your reply bud.
