what to look at when buying a camaro
Hey guys, my ex-girlriend is looking at a 99 3.8 automatic with 146k miles on it. Is there any thing special i should look for? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

If you have an OBDII reader bring that along with a print out of codes. Also bring a little flashlight to check underneath. Differential, oil pan, engine, transmission, fluids, belts, pullies, and if there is any leaked fluid make sure it isn't recently leaked. Ask to see maintenance records if any, and shift through all the gears to make sure it shifts smoothly.

lol, well since i'm selling mine and upgrading to a porsche 944 turbo or 928, i have no problem with that. Plus mine handles way better, and isn't that much slower. My car's quicker then you would think. It beats cars that i think i should loose to, but i beat em. so...

RE: what to look at when buying a camaro
I just paid $35 at the local mechanics to have them look over everything, I test drove mine and everything but I wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything, and they gave me a lot of information on it considering I didn't really know anything about camaros except for the fact that i had always wanted one. I say it was def. worth it cuz they had no affiliation with the dealership so they were completely honest and let me know what was good and showed me what to look for in the future if I had any problems with it.
