What kind of paint do i use to get this glossy look. (I know i need clear coat so dont tell me.) I just wana know how to get that glossy appearance.

Heres just a thought, but maybe since i put a picture of a fiberglass box within the thread that's what I'm trying to paint. But like i said. That's just a thought.

 

Its not the paint as much as it is the prep and what is done after you paint it. Even enamel can give a nice shine when its smooth enough. Base coat/clear coat urethanes or Lacquer with a clear coat will give you a finish like that. But its a lot of work if you are doing it by hand.

 

I'll be ddoing it with electric sanders air spray guns and that sort of thing. What kind of prepping goes in to that? I know fiberglass it. Then another layer of Fiberglass. Then sand that. Then a layer of body filler. Then sand that. Then check for imperfections then maybe another layer of body filler. Then sand it.

And what what you suggest using lacquer or urethane?

 

I suggest you get a book or something. These processes are simular to painting a car. I am not typing out all the steps. I need votes but not that bad Check youtube for how to videos.

 

Lmao well is there a considerable amount more than i said? I have painted a car before. Well a door any way. And it didnt come out too bad.
