im confused about what kind of exhaust i need to put on my v6, ive seen posts that say a flowmaster is the best (ive heard one on utube, sounded good at idle, but what about when you give it some gas down the highway?) but then ive heard that flowmaster makes you sound like a ricer goin down the street. Ive also heard a few good things about cat-back, i know my car cant sound like a v8, but i dont want somethin that makes me sound like i have a weedeater motor either, does anyone know of a good exhuast system, im also puttin some headers on too, not sure what kind if that helps any?

 

i had flowmasters on my 87 firebird, i have a 91 camaro now and i would never put flowmasters on a 6 cyl again, it sounded like ****, great at idle but bad when u get above 4 grand or so, i would go with adynamax, deep tone not as crackly or high pitched as flowmaster at higher rpm's. DYNAMAX bro

 

i would either choose magnaflow or flowmaster or the Z28 exhaust. i have the Z28 exhaust and it sounds pretty good.

 

Flowmaster dual exit system is good, I have heard good things about getting a Z28 muffler, but haven't yet heard it.

 

i have a dual outlet flowmaster 80 series...sounds real nice...a mechanic at a shop thought it had a V8 by the it's sound

 

I have a Magnaflow system on mine, and it sounds great in my opinion. In the car it sounds nice and deep doesnt sound as deep inside at higher RPM's but when your outside the car it sounds great. Nice and deep, and the exhaust always kicks back, sounds really nice. Had a chance to hear it when my GF drove off when I was taking a wizz teaching her how to drive a stick. And had to dig the camaro out of the snow and as I was doing it started it up and revved it up and it sounded great even cold. So Id have to say go with the magnaflow.

 

I have american thunder on my 3.4. Kids at my school dont believe me that it's a v6 from the sound of it.

 

Magnaflow, sounds good, better than flowmaster because flowmasters are mostly made for v8's.

 

i got the 80 series flowmastercat back. great tuck away pipes and low tone at low rpm, maybe a lil high pitched at above 4000 but who cares its a 6 not an 8.
