Ha, i killed it with the like 190 im getting now. Its got to get rebuild badly. 2nd gear was bad when i got it, i just destroyed it. I have an ls1 driveshaft in it, because i destroyed that too...I enjoy hotrodding my car and its my first car so im making all the beginner mistakes. Replacing all the stuff i break is slowing me down on fixing it up lol.

You can get way more than 220 to the wheels easy... My car makes more than 200 as it is... And I don't have a cam or ported heads. So I'd say the 240-250 mark would be more accurate... But you gotta be willing to spend a little coinage lol. But power is nothing if your car cannot use it right... Gears, driveshaft, pulleys, stall converters for autos, etc etc

I have a little head work but they aren't fully ported... AC delete. Full boltons of course. The engine and transmission are both entirely rebuilt. I think my buddy put rockers in it too... So yeah. It loves gas lol.

With a Bigger throttle body, PCM tune, Injectors, VS cam, CAI, Ported and polished heads, and a pully kit, you could see 280-300 HP.

Three weekends ago, I was @ the track. I saw Grand Nationals (yes I know they are no comparission) which run the same CID engines we do, running in the 8's in the 1/4 mile. there were a few runnin in the 9's. So these 3.8 series II or Buick 231's are a great engine. The biggest problem is rubuilding them. They are F-in expensive, a complete gasket set will run you close to $400 bucks.
So the capabilities are there, its all how much you wanna spend, time and money.
