Yeah, that looks very bad, hit that engine with some degreaser will ya!
Or are we supposed to be seeing something important that we're not seeing?

I'm guessing it's the 3.8. But I'm with you guys, I have no idea what we're supposed to be looking for...unless it's those goofy white things holding the hoses on. Never seen those before.

Those are the stock piece of crap hose clamps, but I have no idea what's wrong.

Those are the stock hoses that have the quick disconnect. If they are good they work great but if you need a new heater hose, you are stuck going to GM and paying $200 for the both of them (they are only sold in a set and only complete). Look at Darling Reject's car to see what the cost effective replacment is. I dont know if her pics are still up on this site but she had to replace her hoses. As for the oil pressure switch, aside from your engine needs a serious cleaning I cant see a problem there either, at least not with the photo you took.
