so i have a 95 5 speed 3.4 firebird and when im driving it it starts shaking like crazy but the sahking feels like the tranny like my shifter starts getting outa control shaking and i feel it everywhere but its only sometimes and then if i hit a bump or jam the gas hard it stops it also stops whenever i come to a stop but when is stop it makes a loud shaking noise under the car almost simaler to a lose heat sheild but way liuder and harder i have no ideas please help thanks alot

Check the motor mounts, transmission mounts, and torque arm mount.

 

ya that was my first thought that maybe that rubber tranny mount had gone whats the easiest way to check the engine mounts?

I would also check the front suspension for wear, especially the tie rod ends. Bad tie rod ends (or even a bad alignment) can make the front tires shimmy-shimmy-shake, causing the whole car to shake.

 

I had a similar problem with my old 96 3.8. with mine it was because there was no pilot bushing. I'd check my mounts and suspension, but if it's none of that, I'd go ahead and replace my clutch. I'm fairly certain that's your problem.
