Weight reduction
Has anyone done any serious weight reduction on their camaros? I just took out my tools, jack, and spare but i don't know if I really feel any difference. Is it worth it?

You took out about 20lbs. of a 3400lb car. That is a little better the 1/2 of 1% of the weight of the car. So your net gain on a 200HP car would feel like a 1 HP increase. If you can feel that your good. You going to get to about 200 lbs before you start to feel it.

I know take out all of the interior except the dash bezel with the guages, loose the AC and the heat, and put on smaller tires. That should get ya started. Just joking. Although if you were to take off the AC and all the parts to it you'll be looking at dropping the weight. Pretty much if you really want to get into losing weight without looks you need to replace OEM parts with AM parts under the hood. Aluminum is lighter than steel. That means anything steel that you can make aluminum the lighter your car (and wallet) will be. That's about all you can do unless you do decide to rip out the interior which i frown upon because your date won't call you back if she has to sit on your floor boards.

I took out all my interior and I didn't really notice to much just a little louder. I didn't do it for weight reduction I was just tired at looking at my black spray paint interior (previous owner) But I was thinking about sheet metal interior but now I'm looking at carbon fiber pieces.
