has anybody ever heard any feedback on the vararam vr-4 velocity stack? i was thinking about getting one but i wanted other peoples opion before i wasted my money. how much horsepower would i gain if i bought it and would it be worth it to buy it?

Looks like a waste to me lol. What do you have done to your car so far?

 

i havent done anything to my car yet. it needs a tune up really bad. i have 122,XXX miles on it and it has never had a tune up. i am going to do a tune up and then take it to the track and see what it will run and then i am going to put my SLP cold air intake on it

 

You will not see anything from the velocity stack. In general velocity stacks work on cars the have a nice straight shot thru the stack right in the cylinder like a tunnel ram high rise intake or a spyder type intake. An intake on the 3.8 or the 3.4 have to many turns after the throttle body for this to do much good.

 

Do a full tune up before you do anything else...

 

what type of plugs and wires should i get or should i get the factory ones?

 

i would say factory or the cheap ones would do fine for the time being, but the higher priced ones are the better bet if you plan on leaving them in for the long haul...and in case any of you wondered this site runs absolutely amazing on mobile devices..finally have a use for the data plan on my work phone lol

 

i am going to leave the new ones in until i need a tune up next time but what type would you recomend i get

 

AC Delco wires and plugs.... I've had AC delco wires and AC delco iridium plugs in my car for 2 years now and still no problems from them

 

will ac delco spark plugs work with taylor 8mm wires?
