At least I research and post facts and numbers when I can, which is more than most here do -- just saying what is their "style", or that something "does not make a difference in HP gain", when the numbers prove otherwise...
Let's be honest you didn't just buy it for the 2HP gain, you also bought it because you like the look! Have you dyno'ed you car before and after the intake to see what the gains were?

I do... It's a true 2-3 HP gain over my shaved lid and silencer delete =) Performance is performance. But I pass on $250 for 5HP tops...

I did not dyno it -- I will at some point though. I would love to have a dyno chart before and after each mod., but that gets expensive and it is small potatoes on the V6 -- the Tom Henry Racing V6 project has a lot of info that can provide rough approximations for similar mods. Every car is different too, age, mileage, mods...

I bought it because I didn't want to mess with the stock lid mods and it got rid of the air silencer and with the other intake additions, this was the closest to the SLP FlowPac for the 3800 and all together the power gains should be pretty good (mostly at upper RPMs)... Plus at $70 shipped, it was a good price. Yea I think it looks much better too -- there is also a carbon fiber version.

Do these fit 96 3.8?

You'd probably be better off locating an SLP CAI, as the design for 93-97 is different.

On the flip-side, you could do some mods from 98-02 Camaros to change over the radiator plastic and such and probably make it work, if you can locate all the GM parts from a junkyard or something...
