V6-V8 swap: How to

Nope. You either can fab up a set of mounts to fit on the small block or grab a tubular K-member that will fit it. I'd opt for the tube K-member to keep the weight off. The sbc is a lot heavier than an LS1 or it's iron block counterparts.

If you have read all of this thread you know all the problems you are facing. Please, please prove us wrong and make a detailed thread on how you get all the older Camaro sub systems to work with a 15 year newer PCM.
Thanks.

Well then lets see it be done. I would love to see how you are going to integrate the 2 PCMs to work together or retrofit the newer PCM into the older body. How about the ONSTAR system in the newer car are you going to keep that intact as well? Also how are you going to deal with the transmission? that works with the older PCM not the newer one... Unless you are using a truck 5.3L engine which is taller than the LS1 and wont fit under the cowl... Hmmm Yea I would love to see this build.

Are you saying you have already done it or know of someone who did? Please post a link.
Understand that if you can figure how the average guy in a average garage could do this you would be a hero to thousands. Right now there is no good alternative for early V6 owners that does not cost more then the car will be worth when done. I have been watching the 4 gen boards (not just this one) for the last 5 years and I have heard this 5.3 idea before but no one has done it. Just the idea of making custom motor mounts and headers is enough to make most people stop right there.
