Default v6 swap for a v8

alright ive got a 94 v6 camaro and i want to put an LS1 in it or an LT1. im not sure which i should put in it. i was thinkin tha LT1 would be easier but the LS1 has more power. so.......guys what should i go with???? any advice????

That's a question only you can answer, since you are the one paying for the swap and doing the shopping for parts.

I'm doing the LT1 because it is a drop-in swap and a 1995 factory option. Knowing that, the LS1 does take (in general) a lot of the same swap parts to work that an LS1 does, but I can find a complete LT1 pullout drivetrain for what an LS1 engine alone costs. I'm on a budget, too.

It is tempting , though, since I wouldn't have to deal with an opti-spark, but an LS1 is too tall to be a drop-in swap...

Of course, some will suggest just buying what you want in the first place, rather than pulling a swap. I only have $200 and some accessories in my car, so try finding a working LT1 car for that much. It won't happen.
