Default V6 rebuild

I have a stock 1999 V6 5spd Camaro that I bought a few years back.
I use it as my daily driver because it gets much better fuel millage than my F250.
Im not sure what the average life span of these motors are, but im over 150K miles.
The car has a few issues; I think there might be a air/fuel ratio problem, because it runs rich.
I get some smoke when I start up, im assuming valve seals need replaced.
When the car is warm is seems to take more cranking time to start the engine.

Has anyone rebuilt their V6, if so, do you have any tips or suggestions for me? Is it even worth doing?

There is a rebuild thread here in the v6 section. Well, he's rebuilding it such that it can handle alot more power. Thread is called Project Sleeper. By the way, it isn't unheard of for them to go past 250,000 miles.

I rebuilt my engine at 150k miles just because I felt like it.... Car ran fine... But 60k miles is better than 150k =P And I wanted to know exactly what was in it...

But your car should be fine. As for the car running rich, when was the last time you changed your O2 sensors?
