Default v6 perf

I just picked up a 99 v6 3.8 that needs new rods and bearings and looking for a lil performance what all could i do to it?

As in generic mods? Intake, catback exhaust, and headers are the most common.

All depends on your goals and wallet.

just looking to make it rum and sound good i didnt know if i could put a cam in it to help it and heads or what

i dont wanna get that deep in it but i would like a semi sleeper. once i get started it might end up like that butdont really wanna go that far i got an duramax that runs and takes up most of the funds but would like a lil play toy

if you read the build thread he starts out with a low cost build that works great.

Fix whats broke first. lol. I dont think there is many parts for 4th gen v6 F-body's but people like to argue that with me. Things like catbacks and cold air intakes wont do to much for you. If you want power you can feel turbo it

You can spend a LOT of money trying to fix a motor right with internal damage. By the time you grind the crank resize the rods buy new pistons and bore the block and do the heads right your out 3K.
You best bet is to find a used low miles 3800, you might want grab a newer seires 3. Once you have the long block here is some reading
