You given any thought on how you are pulling the motor? If you are bringing it out the bottom it might be a good time to install some headers. I think the 97 had those bad flow cast ones like my 96.

I was able to find a 2002 3800 with 48K on it for $650 I did find some front wheel drive engines cheaper but with the Camaro engine I am able to use many of the sensor that are 6 years newer and I have a complete spare ignition system.
If you click on the link in my sig you can see my project thread, I am waiting for my headers to show up.

I went with the OBX Stainless ones from Ebay. Guy gave me a small discount, I used the make offer option. I won't get them till next week, no big rush cause I still need a clutch.

OBX? I'm jealous of you, I want those so bad. A lot of guys on ftv6 have been asking about them, I think you're the first v6'er to buy them.

Mario, just wondering, why would you change out the motor if its knocking?
I am glad to see you have decided against transplanting a new mill in your car, it is typically advised to just seel the car and buy a V8 car. But I would figgure out why its knocking before trying to upgrade.

Unhappy

When I bought the car the motor had a little knock in it I didn't think much about it I bought the car for only $600 can't complain to much for a straight body clean interior car, but anyway I pulled the oil pan and I found a spun bearing so I replaced all the rod bearings and put a new oil pump in, didn't knock at first but it is know not to loud but I'm thinking the crank has a worn spot on it were the bearing spun I really like this car but I just at a wall right now and don't know where to go from here
