i have a V6 camaro and i want to know what exhaust i should get to make it louder but not make it sound like any of the imports. i absolutly hate that damn sound. i was reading other forums and someone was talking about a Z28 exhaust, if someone could explain if i should get that and how and where i would go about gettin a set. Im open to all suggestions, NO IMPORT SOUNDING EXHAUSTS PLEASE!

ive got a 3.4L and i put the Z28 exhaust on it. my friend took it off his Z and put flowmasters on his so i asked him if i could have them. im glad that i did cuz it sounds really good. sounds like a beefed up Z

 

I purchased the magnaflow cat back, and it doenst sound ricey but it doesnt sound super beefy either. if your punching it it sounds almost like a 350Z in my opinion just a little more throwty till you come off the gas, and it starts to kick back and cherry bomb and what not, and then it sounds really nice. but its throwty, but doesnt sound super cruchy either like the V8's hope that helped.

 

Yeah, I also have magnaflow cat back. It definitly does not sound like a ricer, but it doesn't have a deep growl like a v8 does. the way sooperdewd described it was perfect. It sounds like a 350z. More like a porsche than a challenger, ya know? It's a whindy growl. No exhaust will make a 6 sound like an 8.

 

how much did the magnaflow cat back kit run?

 

Ive got a full catback flowmaster exhaust and from the sound of it it kinda sounds like the magna flows that were described. I think the flowmaster was cheaper tho. O.o Might be worth checkin into

 

huh thats funny, i also got a Z28 exhaust and put it on my 3.4 AND i also cleaned out the cat so it sounds beefy to me, but 02blackonblack is right no exhaust in the world will make a V6 sound like a V8.

 

Magnaflows site says 500 or something but I got mine for 427 manderal bend and everything just installed it. cheapest I found it.

 

i paid 150 for the dual flowmaster delta flows....full cat back exhaust. O.o think u got jiped or i gota hell ofa deal.

 

Redneck97, I'm suprised you didn't use dual shot gun barells for your dual exhaust!
