Default V-6 to a V-8

I'm new here and im sure this question has been asked many of times, I have a 95 with a 3.4 5spd and want to put a V-8 into her, what v-8 would be best? I'm sure my tranny wont work, but what about the drive shaft, will it need to be shorter and also what about the rearend?

ive heard that this is a pain to due and you end up replacing alot of your stuff and that it is just easier to go out and buy one with a v8 already in it

It will cost you so much time and money to pull it off that you'd be wiser to simply sell it and buy a car that had a V8 to begin with. However, if you're dead set on it, this thread will help you figure out what you'll need to be able to do it.
