nope
ive looked into it
you are looking to spend alot
unless you know what your doing.
ive been told by the mechanic thats guna be doing my turbo
that ill be near 500 horses
dont believe me
well i didnt say it
take it up with him
the guy that does this for a living

your also looking at adding life to your engine
gas mileage if you dont floor it all the time
and the faces on the mustang gt drivers after you get through raping them.
any more questions just ask
i know a little bit about it

so when the 500 horse power blows your tranny up is he throwing in a new one for free?

On topic: Look into an STS turbo kit. They sell a universal set which mounts where your exhaust would be, so no fab work which means less cash spending.
I've heard customer service from them was bad, but that was only from one member. Some people say you get turbo lag, but I haven't seen any real proof.
I believe their universal kit comes in 3 stages. Ranging from like 2.5k-3.5k or so. On a new edge sixxer Mustang they got about 100hp/tq at like 5psi I think...or maybe it was 9?

Off topic: Yenko, your car looks like a Turtle.

Link: http://ststurbo.com/

Stock hp on that v6 Mustang: 166
5psi gets it up to 250.
9psi to 313.

Universal Kit: http://ststurbo.com/universal_system
Looks like 2k-3k, with the turbos able to handle over 500hp.

I'm seriously considering one now [8D]

Yeah, like BigNic said, if you're going to be putting more power down to the wheels its all pointless if you sit there and spin...unless you're in a burnout contest lol.
Spend like 200-300 bucks at a junkyard for a z28 rear end with posi, traction bars and all that, plus some fat-backs will help.

Wow, that's spendy. I got my rear end, rotors, calipers, panhard bar, 1-piece steel driveline, torque arm, LCA's, and sway bar, all for $150. Then I spent $150 on gears. You-pull it yards will save you a lot of coin. Yes, my uncle works at the yard I bought my stuff at, but he charged me full cost.

Sweet deal lol. I still need to do a junkyard run, that was what I was just assuming I would spend.
That way, if it's less I'll feel really awesome lol.
Just gotta find the time to go look for a new rear end...

Get your gears in! lol

Turboing a v6 camaro firebird is possible, but not easy, and I think yenkos original about 6k estimate is close unless you do all the work yourself and no supporting mods at all. Yes, a turbo by itself is not particularly expensive, but, you would need bigger fuel pump, bigger injectors, if you actually want to do it right, lower compression, a tune, if sts then headers too.... Im just saying, dont get excited at the first quote a mechanic gives you.
