Just thought id share my experience with cutting a trap door for a fuel pump replacement on a 2000 model...Pretty cut and dry, except the previous poster had a different model and my fuel pump was more towards the back of the car. I would also recommend using a drill bit stop when drilling your pilot holes because the fuel tank is so close to the sheet metal .... I almost drilled through mine.
