Default Transmission problem maybe?

If I gun it hard enough when the car shifts to second gear a weird popping noise from the gearbox console appears. It doesn't do it when I drive normally, only if I floor it and only second gear, noise seems to come from the gearbox, like a loud uncomfortable sound, u could even feel it, I don't know if this makes sense.

Does it sound like a thump and feel like someone is banging on the trans tunnel? If so, you most likely tore the trans mount apart.

If you could feel it and it sounds like a thud, it's definitely a trans mount as Camaro 69 said. I broke one on my car and it did the same **** lol.

Yea 69 and evil, it's exactly that. Will it get worse in due time? Is that a whole tranny work and about how much? I've had a transmission rebuild before and went back two different times lol.

Nah it's a unbolt this and that and put in new bolts

It can't get much worse because you've already snapped the thing. Get down and check it to make sure. Quit getting on it so much and you won't have this problem =P But really... If you don't fix it soon, it will become an entire transmission problem.

Do I have to go to a tranny shop for this?

How handy are you?

You should jack the car up and at least check the mounts to make sure that's what it is...

I know this is CF and Camaro 69 and myself know all but... Even we could be wrong at an internet diagnosis

If you can take things apart and put back together, you can handle a mount replacement. But first you want to make sure that's what it is. Do you have a floor jack and a set of ramps or jack stands so you can get under the car? Then you can lift the trans with the jack under the pan, with a block of wood spanning the pan so you don't damage it. Raise the jack slowly, and see if the mount starts to separate. A torn mount doesn't always show until you lift the trans.

I'm not that handy at all with cars lol. I don't have a jack or anything like that, that's why I always spend money in shops. I have a friend that's a mechanic, guess I can have him help me :/
